What to expect
As a new patient, we want to welcome and thank you for trusting us with your dental care. Our process for new patients is easy and informative.
Welcome packet
Once you have scheduled an appointment, we encourage you to download the new patient paperwork and complete at your convenience. You will bring these completed forms to your first appointment. Please plan to arrive ten minutes early to your reserved time.
While your chart is being created, you may relax in our comfortable reception area. We have provided several books for your enjoyment and there is a playroom with games and toys for the little ones.
Tour of office
Upon creation of your chart, you will be given a tour of the office by one of our Registered and Certified Dental Assistants. The tour will conclude with a pre-clinical consultation performed by Dr. Pitts in her office.
Dr. Pitts will take just a few moments to discuss with you any concerns you may have about your dental health and together you can discuss your goals and a plan of action.
Comprehensive oral exam
During the exam, Dr. Pitts will be working together with you to determine your current level of health. Once a determination has been made, Dr. Pitts will provide you with a Review of Findings.
Discuss payment options
We commend you on your willingness for complete dental health. We understand that life has many difficulties and we do not want obtaining optimum health to be a burden on you financially. After your completed exam, Dr. Pitts will present you with a proposed treatment plan showing your estimated cost and dental insurance estimates, if applicable. Our business coordinator is available to discuss financial arrangments.
Hygiene care
You can be sure that whether you are due for a healthy hygiene care visit or you are willing to end your periodontal disease, our hygienists are trained and prepared to meet your health needs.

Achieving Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry is one of the few added distinctions a general dentist can achieve. To earn Fellowship in the AGD, dentists must take more than 500 hours of educational courses in various disciplines. Candidates must also pass a rigorous exam. Only 7 percent of general dentists have achieved this honor and Dr. Pitts is one of them.
